Susan Brown

Susan Brown graduated from Leeds polytechnic with a B.A.Hons. in Interior Architecture.  Her career path since that time has followed two main areas of activity- Interior Architecture and Painting.  Each discipline (Design/Art) has helped give a greater understanding of the other, each sharing knowledge of balance, form, order, proportion and space.

Much of her work in Fine art has been concentrated on cities, particularly European cities-especially those of Venice, London, Paris and Rome-and has been a journey exploring the structure, patterns, forms and interaction between man and his built environment.

1995 Laing Art Competition - Highly commended

1997 Hunting Art Prizes - Regional winner

2001 Singer Friedlander Sunday Times Watercolour Competition - 3rd prize
