“ I have a love of the landscape and man's relationship with it, its structures, formulas patterns, the cycles of growth and decay-the very structure of life and the continuum of the life cycle, the juxtaposition of its fragility and the power of its work. I look at the connection, the structure that links the air and the earth and the power of everyday. I look at the two main elements that start to define the life form-the continuum and the measured and the power of their symbols. This begins the journey of finding the structure in the landscape and being a witness to a moment of continuum. I have moved from my fascination with structure found in the buildings within European Cities to the structure found in the landscape, and it is this structure found in the landscape, which is often used as an inspiration in the designing of the built environment."
